Grace Foundation Advances in Zambia and Benin Republic but Suffer Loss in Chad

We are delighted to inform you that the balance of the funds required for the roofing of the church at Libentee field in Benin Republic has been paid. We are grateful to God for the divine provision. Thank you for praying and giving. Our next challenge is the windows, doors, flooring and plastering. God who brought us thus far will help us in finishing the work. Our missionaries, Sabatu and Nuhu Karambana are grateful and really encouraged.

On Kafue River, Zambia
Meanwhile, we have commenced our registration process in Zambia. Again, God provided the entire funds needed for the various stages of the registration amounting 103,700 Zambia Kwacha(Almost N80,000), when the registration is completed, Grace foundation Zambia will fully begin to raise a work force for the purpose of engaging the dark communities in the nation and surrounding countries. The next point of need is to commence fund generating projects that will sustain our missionary, Rex Chipoya and his family. With the terrible devaluation of Naira, the most ideal means of upkeep is to start a fund generating project which in itself will require funds.

On a sad note, our  dear colleague,  brother and friend, Samuel Benouji completed
Samuel Benuoji
his labour three weeks ago and has gone to be with the lord. until his death, he was not only labouring in Chad but co-ordinating the central African Missions Project(CAMP). He was indeed dedicated, selfless and loyal. It will be difficult to find someone to fill his shoes.

Pray along with us that the God with whom all things are possible will raise a workforce for himself for Chad and Northern Cameroon. Pray that the lord will comfort his family and the entire Grace Foundation family over this loss. We are grateful to all our partners, trustees, council members and friends who called and visited during this sad moment.

From the Amazon to the South of Brazil

God's presence has continue to cheer us up in the work here in Brazil. After spending one month in the North and the Amazon jungles, I have relocated to the South of the country. I took a jeep in company of my interpreter/former politician and Mayor of Belem from Castanhal (where I preached to the largest crowd in my life time - about 8000 persons), stopped over at Paragominas and traveled to Belem from where I flew for several hours to Brasil(Brazil Administrative capital),connected to Sao Paulo, rested at Riberato and now at Araras.

Araras is said to be the richest province of Brazil, yet the people still hunger after God. The biggest church here is Four Square Gospel Church with a congregation of 6000 members and 16 churches within the town and the outskirt. They are my host between now and the end of the month. I have already had several outreach program with them which I tagged Nights of Wonders. As usual, emphasis were on salvation, healing and deliverance. Few got saved, many healed and captives set free.

The meetings were covered live by the radio station www.gospel.fm.br and I have had opportunity of broadcasting the gospel twice on their television. Many more TV broadcast are still being arranged. One of the best time I had speaking on missions here in Brazil was at the Araras Ministers Conference. I believe when the ministers get involve in missions outside the shores of the Portuguese nations(which they presently do), their congregation will do the same.

Part of the meetings scheduled for me to speak here includes: Top Business men and women, Political leaders with the Mayor present, Youths, Church leaders, etc. There is no doubt that the door is wide open. Do not cease to pray along with me for great grace, fresh unction and the release of His presence at all the sessions.

God bless you for your partnership.

Missions in the Amazon Jungle of South America

Greetings from the Amazon jungle of South America. The Amazon represents over half of the planet's remaining rainforests, and it comprises the largest and most species-rich tract of tropical rainforest in the world. Brazil in particular, a country of over 200million persons still has 20% of her population that is unreached but with no fewer than 500000 Churches in its 5500 cities. The church is vibrant, full of love but most of her missionary effort is focus on the Portuguese nations. They can do a lot more. That is one reason God brought me here to stimulate the church to play more significant role in world evangelisation.

God opened the door to this part of the end of the earth in the early part of this year but I entered in August following delays in securing visa. Since arrival, God has helped me to preach in 14 crusades across 12 cities. Scores of persons embraced Jesus as their Lord and saviour and hundreds experienced healing and deliverance from different kinds of oppression. Mission mobilisation also featured in some of the cities especially in the Recife region. Hunger for God is severe. The reception has being unparalleled. God has been really good.

We are grateful for all your prayers and your financial support. As usual, foreign missions are capital intensive but according to Hudson Taylor, God’s work done in God’s way will never lack God’s supply. We choose to carefully obey His instruction and take advantage of the doors God is opening to contribute our quota to world evangelisation. We appreciate God for carefully choosing you to partner with us. Your partnership has meant so much to us. We are grateful

South America Door Opened At Last

The International Director, Andrew Abah arrived Sao Paulo on July 15, 2010 and moved to Salvador where he was to commence preaching engagements with Primeira Igreja Batista em Alagoinhas under the leadership of Pastor Vanderly Intoriano followed by Igreja Evangelical Assembleia de Deus under Pastor Jose Prudente. This will be followed by preaching engagements in 15 other cities.
Updates on six additional cities are still being awaited. Two days are set aside for travelling and one full day for rest. The last major preaching engagement is with Igreja Evangelica Nova Alianca under Pastor Luedson Rodrigues.
The preaching schedules are being put together by Evangelist Martins Douglas Junior. You can visit his ministry site for details of the schedule for concerted prayer support. The Director is expected to return on August 12, 2010 and travel to speak at the Ghana End-Time Congress on World Evangelization. He covets your prayers for journey mercies and fresh unction.

NEW CARE GROUP FOR DIVORCEES & WIDOWS IN NIGER REPUBLIC

The Grace Foundation missionaries in Niger Republic has started a new women-caring groups with special focus on divorcees, widows and extremely poor and vulnerable women. The existing children club is experiencing great revival now. Some of them have changed their way of life. A three year old girl in an attempt to evangelise her parents and grandparents invited them to join her at the missionaries' house and listen to the gospel that changed her life. Pray for divine protection for the children so they will grow from strength to strength.

Our Ahole missionaries, Emmanuel and Blessing Boubacar called for prayers for the new converts God just blessed them with. The identities of the converts are still being kept secret because of their background. For now, there is no reported case of persecution. Pray that God will equip them ahead of any possible outbreak of persecution.

The medical mission has continued to serve as a formidable tool to reach the people. God has been backing up the work. All those coming for treatment are being prayed for and they experienced God's
healing power and through that they hear the gospel. As usual, even those who hate Christ have no option but to listen to the gospel when they are sick. Two men with High Blood Pressure gave their lives to Christ recently after Christ healed them of their sickness. Pray that their healing will be permanent.

Chad Field Host Central Africa Regional Missions Summit

Our field in Chad is planning to host the Central African Regional Missions Summit. The missionary, Samuel Benouji is labouring to bring together the missionaries and indigenous pastors and other Christian leaders to help in the hosting. Our missionaries in Cameroon, Pauline and Issa Damaka have continued to focus on discipleship. God is encouraging them with more fruit that are abiding. They distributed messages recorded in cassettes to villagers around Kaikai and followed them up to get their feedbacks. They also had a crusade in urounding villages and were blessed with three families that gave their lives to Christ.

Niger Republic work is encouraging. Blessing Boubacar continued with her medical missions and lately intensifies her work among the women. God blessed her with a convert from a prostitute background recently. She covets our prayers that God will help them to rehabilitate her effectively. Her husband, Emmanuel Boubacar continues his evangelistic efforts at Bankoula and Ahole. Issa Maliki has sent his wife for further missions training while he alone handles the Gobirawa field. The Lord has continued to help him. He was involved in an accident and had a fracture. He is recovering gradually. Joel Dukiya was well received in Benin Republic. He may have to stay with the village head until we get a suitable accommodation for him. The village head had offered a land for us N100,000 but we don’t have the resources to embark on that project yet.

Update on Niger Republic Field

Blessing and Emmanuel Boubacar of Ahole, Niger Republic are blessed with a baby boy. She is currently on maternity leave. Issa and Rahila Maliki of the Gobirawa field, Niger Republic need fund to send one of their first fruit to a Vernacular Bible School. Rahila also plan to return to school and complete her missions training next year.

Liman Danwauya could not continue with his radio broadcast since he relocated from Dosso to his new station. As the Lord will have it, a new radio station has been opened in his new base. Unlike Dosso where he preaches free of charge, he is expected to pay a token to preach in the new station.

Please, pray for the fund. His wedding comes up on December 20, 2008. Pray that God will provide to meet up his budget. Pray for his new home that it will be a plus to his mission work. Pray for journey mercy for us as we travel from Jos with our car to visit the field on December 17, 2008 and attend his wedding before returning on December 21, 2008.

Southern Africa Missions Summit Report

The African Missions Summit at Durban, South Africa has come and gone. It was a huge success. We had delegates from Democratic Republic of Congo(DRC), Malawi, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Ghana, South Africa, Nigeria, etc. Several organisations and many individuals were there for the first time.

We experienced incredible time of sharing and praying, as many people thanked God for what He did in their new relationship. One of the precious moments was the side meetings (Koinonia) which is the real “meet” of the Summit and we are happy that many delegates walked away fulfilled.

We appreciate all the delegates for their willingness to shift from one hotel to another, laugh at our mistakes, cry at reports, pray with determination, and share in the heart of God for Africa. We are extremely grateful to our host, Rev. John Ramasay and his team for their excellent and selfless sacrifices. The venue was superb. The transport shuttle to and fro the airport was great. The meals prepared and served were of international quality. The administration was unbeatable.

We are also grateful to the Directors of Missions Exposure and Training(MET), Rev.& Mrs. Gerald Golbeck. Their servant leadership style is worthy of emmulatioj. They helped in so many ways including providing transportation services valued at over $1000.

THUNDER STRUCK THE DIRECTOR’S HOUSE

While ministering at the Kinshasa Hospital Chapel, Kinshasa, DRC thunder struck the house of the International Director at Jos, Nigeria and damaged several items but God protected his family. Not even a single person was hurt. There was no doubt that it was the hand work of the devil but the deliverance God wrath also went a long way to prove God’s word which says: “ ... and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age”. (Matt 28:20). Please, join us to thank God for that great deliverance and dont forget to pray that God will continue to protect us as we continue to unseat the enemy to enthrone Jesus as Lord.

The program at the Hospital Chapel was the last phase of the Director’s missionary assignment at DRC. Several persons gave their lives to Christ in response to the message of salvation and many others who were sick were prayed for.

KINSHASA, DRC OPENED UP FOR MISSIONS

One of our greatest passion in Grace Foundation is to multiply the number of our existing missionaries and deploy them to the darkest part of the world. We trust the Lord that our work force should increase from its present number to at least 64 by the year 2010. Even that figure is very insignificant in the light of the volume of the unfinished task. The work must be completed and we must do everything to bring back the King.

This passion is what has led us to help nations with large concentration of Christians to get involve in missions the way we are doing it. We do this by networking with other Christian leaders and agencies. One of such partnership is with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada’s Missions Exposure and Training (MET). Through this partnership God opened the door Democratic Republic of Congo(DRC) through their facilitation of Missions Fest in Africa.

In 2006, the Grace Foundation had the privilege of making input by having missions awareness campaign in several churches at Lubumbashi, the second biggest city of DRC and spoke both at the plenary session and workshops at the first Missions Fest in Africa which held at the same city. The response were really encouraging as over 20 Pastors made commitments to engage in missionary work.

The need for follow-up became very strong and recently God opened the door for us. Our International Director was to speak in churches and the Missions Fest both at Lubumbashi and the capital city of Kinshasa. Though, he missed Lubumbashi, God made his trip to Kinshasa possible. He spoke at the plenary on the need for the African churchto extend her missionary efforts to the Arabian Penninsular. He also spoke on Strategic Pioneering Missions and The Missionary Journey Ahead of the Church. Over 30 persons volunteered to get involve in pioneering missions in response to the message. Though his time there was so limited, he was privileged to have a missions awareness campaign at the Communion Chapel. The response too was very impressive.

Towards the end of his stay, he was invited to the Hospital Chapel where he spoke on the Unlimited Power of God to Heal the Sick. He spent time to pray for the sick and trusted God to have healed a number of them.

Also in the missionary trip from Nigeria was Bishop David Adeidini. He ministered in song in their native language –Ngala and French and used his musical instrument – accordion to make impact at the Missions Fest. He spoke on Holy Spirit and Missions at the seminar level and also preached at the samaritan Church. He was a great encouragement.

The trip to DRC also provided platform for fellowship for MET leadership as the Directors, Gerald and Pat Golbeck, the French Director, Jean Beya the Ghana Representative, Jerry Abbey and Nigeria Representative, our International Director, Andrew Abah were around with other friends and partners like Director of Middle East Outreach from Iraq and Professor and Dr. Mrs Ron Meyers.

We appreciate the labour of the Missions Fest Chairman, N. Cele and the entire Pastors at Kinshasa for joining hands together to make our trip very succesful. Blonde was very useful in inerpreting for me both in the church where I ministered and at the Missions Fest program. We appreciate her labour of love.

He is to minister in some of the local churches as well as renew some of the old contacts made in 2006.

Chad Missionary Relocate to Remote Part of the Country

Our desire to reach the Arabs has made us start a fresh work in Chad. The work is been pioneered by Samuel Benuoji while Joseph Foula and his family are to join towards the end of the year. The village head has promised to donate a land to us when we are ready to build. For the meantime, the missionary is living in a small rented apartment of N800 but hope to move to a bigger one to make room for discipleship class. Pray for Benuoji as he spends time to learn the language and culture of the people. Pray also for Foula as he enters the last lap of his training at the School of Cross-Cultural Missions.

Middle East Initiative

Praise God for the successful trip of the International Director, Andrew Abah to the Middle East. Among the many breakthroughs experienced during the trip was bridge-building with the people, especially colleagues working in the Qatar, Yemen, Kuwait, Oman and the United Arab Emirates. He and other colleagues visited the Iraq boarder to spend some time with God for the salvation of the people. More passion to take more concrete step to contribute Grace Foundation's quarter to reaching the other "Abraham's Children" grew.

CAMEROON WORK YIELD FRUIT

Work among the Kai-Kai people in Far North Province of Cameroon which started early this year ago has yielded at least seven new converts. The new converts meet regularly in a house church to study the basic feature of Christ’s disciple and the responses have been quite positive.

The missionary couple handling the work, Issa and Pauline Damaka and their son, Silas are struggling to settle among the people against all odds. They have all been sick at one time or the other but that has not discouraged them in any way.

They are working hard to build bridges among the people and the village head. The current challenge, beside the ill health is the massive commitment of the people in this farming season. They have less time to listen to the gospel because they spend most part of their day in the farm working.

To facilitate the work, a small generator has been bought which serves for evangelistic work and sometimes and sometimes for domestic work.

House rents for the year has been paid but pray along with us to be able to acquire a land and put up at least a small mission house and possibly a church before the expiration of the rent.

We are grateful to God for the recent provision of some benches by one of our friends in Cameroon. Pray for God’s continuous blessing on John Enemali who did not only adopt the work in Kai-Kai, Cameroon but provides virtually most of the funding in terms of upkeep and rent since the work began.
