April 2026 Missions' Update

Calvary greetings in the name of Jesus. Thank you so much for your partnership these past months. Your partnership has helped us tremendously navigate the most difficult mission landscape of our time and advance on all fronts despite various odds, especially the growing insecurities in almost all our mission fields.

Conversions and Discipleship

Niger State Indigenous Believers Camp meetings (IBC)
Our core mandate has remained soul-winning in the dark places of the earth and discipling converts to the point of handing them the baton to reach their people. In this regard, we are grateful to God for breathing on our efforts.  We have many souls who have embraced the Lordship of Christ from almost all mission fields and across several religious backgrounds. Some of these people who surrendered their lives to Christ came on their own, after supernatural encounters, to seek clarification about how they could be saved.

Discipleship efforts are underway to establish these converts in faith. Those from a very volatile religious background are being secretly worked on so as not to expose them to unnecessary danger of extreme persecution, which sometimes could lead to death. We also explore the Discovery Bible Studies (DBS) and our pioneer church-planting effort to conserve the fruit of our soul-winning efforts. Several large congregational meetings, such as the Indigenous Believers Camp meetings (IBC), like those in the Benin Republic and the joint Kebbi State/Niger State, were canceled for safety reasons.

Please do join us in praying that Christ be formed in the new converts.

Insecurities Continue to Grow

Growing insecurities
The terrorists continue to hit very hard across various mission fields locally and internationally. In the Republic, the terrorists are expanding their terror. God has continued to spare our missionaries and their families, but they covet our prayers for divine protection. In the Benin Republic, our missionaries and their families had on some occasions fled into the forest to seek refuge when the terrorist visited their villages/neighboring villages. Thank God, the Lord preserved their houses and the converts. In Kebbi State, Nigeria, the converts were not fortunate. Their houses were reduced to ashes, food barns and means of transportation like motorcycles were also burnt down.  Initially, it was reported that three of our converts were killed. Thank God they came out of their hideouts alive. Our missionaries also ran into the bush, and God spared them, Now the villagers are left without food and clothing. May we support them in whatever way possible

African Missions Summit, A Huge Success

The 31st African Missions Summit (AMS 2026) was a huge success. It was held in Jos with no fewer

than 500 delegates. The focus was on Advancing His Kingdom. We had delegates from some African countries, and models of the countries were shared. We had intensive breakout sessions where we brainstormed and prayed. No fewer than 25 mission agencies/para-church organizations attended the summit. Some delegates from countries such as Cameroon and Chad declined at the last minute due to growing insecurity.

More Laborers Thrust Out

The 38th batch of the School of Cross-Cultural Missions graduated during the 31st African Missions Summit. Only two students did not meet the

graduation requirements. Those who finished well were prayed for and released to resume work in various mission fields. Another batch of missionary trainees has kick-started their training. We covet your prayers for financial resources, as many of them have resumed without financial support. Some came with their families, and the financial burden of feeding them is quite hefty.

Home of Grace Kids

Growing kids

The kids that God committed to us to care for are growing, but not without challenges. Some of them have challenges of falling ill constantly, and these sometimes affect their studies, as one of them fell ill during her exam. The greatest challenge comes from adolescents. We covet your prayers for grace to be patient with them and for Christ to be formed in them, as whatever growth they enjoyed without Jesus amounts to nothing.

Inflation is also telling on us, as food prices have skyrocketed, and some of our partners, like those supporting the Niger Republic Home of Grace, have since stepped aside. Kids in Niger State are going through a transition period amid heightened insecurities surrounding the relationship between the mission leader, Sunday Musa, and others. Pray for wisdom and grace for the new leaders, Yohanna and Rahila  Musa, as they navigate through this stormy sea.

New motorcycle for the North East region

Missions House Building/New Motorcycle Projects

Our missionaries at Kwalan-Gobirawa are at risk. The crack in his building is scary. The house could collapse on him and his family at any time. We have received a report of a stronger building collapsing due to the fierce windstorm. After much prayer, God provided resources to continue the new mission house-building project. The roofing is completed, and funds for the windows,
doors, and flooring have been released. Please join us to thank the Lord for the provision.

Also, we were able to buy two new motorcycles to accelerate our kingdom's advancement efforts. The latest motorcycle was assigned to the Bauchi State leader, Kabiru Bashiru, and his wife, Deborah.

We are trusting God for five more motorcycles as we expand our work across Makera and Aifam. We are also trusting God for financial resources for three church buildings and three mission houses for missionary accommodation this year.

Transition

Adeyemi Elliot Awosika

Our brother and partner, Adeyemi Awosika, has passed on the baton and relocated to rest with the Lord. His exit is still very painful, but we surrender to the Lordship of Jesus. We covet your prayers for the family he left behind.

Brother Awosika was not only passionate about advancing the work of missions via Grace Foundation but also mobilized very key individuals to do what he did. He understood missions support to mean more than giving money. He called from time to time to discuss the welfare of the missionaries.

His memorial page can be found at https://www.forevermissed.com/adeyemi-awosika/about?short_code=Ev9KMd9D
