January 2026 Missions' Update

We are so grateful to God for all He did for us and through us in 2025, and for the privilege of serving Him this new year, 2026. We experienced some of our most challenging moments last quarter, but God fought on our behalf and granted us victories on all fronts. Thank you so much for your incredible support as well. Without your input, we may not have attained our current state in the work. Below are some of the reports:

More of Our Other Cousins are Coming to Faith

God graciously revealed Himself effortlessly to some of our other cousins, as well as others from the African Traditional Religion adherents who were known for wickedness, who responded by embracing Jesus as Lord of their lives. We also held open-air crusades in places where such are still allowed, and a substantial number of people embraced Christ. We also continued with one-on-one/door-to-door evangelism in all our mission fields, and God touched several lives.

We continue to pray for them to become like Christ as we intensify our efforts in discipling them. As usual, some will remain discreet until we feel they are strong enough to withstand the usual intense persecution. Several others from other backgrounds also embraced Christ from across many of the mission fields where we work.

Pressing on in the face of Extremism

Last year, our missionary, Sunday Musa, was abducted by jihadists and kept in their dungeon for five weeks. With the prayers of the body of Christ, God spared his life, and he was miraculously released, but not without paying a hefty ransom. Not up to one month after his release, our missionaries in Kebbi State narrowly escaped abduction. One month after that, the Jihadists entered a school at Papiri, Niger State, and abducted over 300 pupils. One of the pupils is the daughter of one of our indigenous Kamberi leaders. Again, we cried unto God until she and the other pupils abducted were safely released. Our first taste of harassment by the Jihadists was the burning down of the house of one of our missionary couples, including our Vespa motorcycle. They escaped and later resigned. They later resigned.

With the increase in insecurity, the ministry's leadership summoned all Grace Foundations' missionaries with 10 years of experience or more for a retreat to pray and brainstorm the way forward. This coincided with the 36th anniversary of Grace Foundation Inland Missions. We resolved, as the Apostle Paul did, to press on, emphasizing Philippians 1:21: "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain."

Redeployment of the harvest force due to insecurities.

Our new Bauchi State Coordinator and his spouse
The level of insecurity across some of our mission fields has continued to escalate, forcing us
to
reshuffle and costing us millions of Naira. Ya'u and his family were transferred to  Bauchi State to pioneer the work at Makera.   Sunday Musa, after 15 days of ordeal in the Jihadist dungeon, was transferred to Malawi with his wife and children. This is capital-intensive. They have temporarily moved to the Zull field in Bauchi State until God provides the resources to move. He will embark on his first trip to Malawi in April to prepare the ground for his family's subsequent relocation. Sunday Ibrahim and his family have moved from Kebbi State, while Iliya Luka has also been transferred from Kebbi to  Niger State.   Ayuba Ezekiel, whom God used to pioneer several works in the Republic of Benin, has been assigned to Kebbi State, Nigeria. Elkannah and his family were transferred to the Republic of Niger. He has resumed work, but his wife is in transit to Jos to complete her mission training. Yohana and Rahila Musa, who are leading in Bauchi State, have since resumed work as the new directors in  Niger State.

Project 2030

Part of our resolutions at the leadership retreat was to multiply our efforts at advancing the gospel in the dark places of the earth. We were specific on our goals for the next five years, which we tag: "Project 2030." God helping us, we will start an additional 500 Discovery Bible Studies across 10 country groups in 40 nations/mission fields. We are also trusting God to train 150 more missionaries in our School of Cross-Cultural Missions and to deploy at least 100 of them to complement existing missionaries and pioneer new work. We covet your prayers that God will breathe on this goal.

Countering Extremism

Southern Africa Bible School/Church leaders

We brought the Countering Extremism curriculum to Zambia, where we met with leaders from several Southern African countries, hosted by the Ebedmelech Institute in collaboration with the Zambian Evangelical Fellowship. We had two-part meetings. The first was with women from the region, and the second was with Bible School lecturers and church leaders. We presented case studies of our experiences in Nigeria. We stressed the need for the church in this region to be proactive and for the Bible Schools to review their curricula to make room for courses like Countering Extremism. We had other experienced resource persons who made eye-opening presentations. They preferred to be anonymous.

Our Malawi Partners

Malawi Frontier

God provided an opportunity to consolidate our plan to contribute our quota to the ongoing mission work in Malawi. We visited Lilongwe, Lilonde, Blantyre, and other places. We had a helpful discussion with Bishop Barnet and his wife, Salome Phiri of SIM, and a few others, whose names are anonymous in view of the nature of their work among our other cousins. We are trusting God for the resources to help Sunday Musa relocate to the region with his family. Pray along with us for favour, wisdom, and divine protection,

Building update.

We have plastered the two-bedroom flat at Ahole, the Niger Republic, and built a good toilet

Garkonji Mission House: Roofing completed.
Pray for funds for plastering, flooring, and doors,
 and windows

exclusively for the use of the Home Of Grace kids there, in a bid to curb the epidemic of infection, as the earlier toilet there has become a public one due to its location. The house is now in use.

We have also built up the mission house at Kwalan Gobirawa and roofed it. We are now trusting  God for doors, windows, plastering, and flooring. Pray with us that God will complete the project.

At Garkonji, Benin Republic, the converts came together and used mud blocks to build a two-bedroom flat for their missionaries, now awaiting roofing. We have completed the roofing, but still need a lot more to finish it, buy doors and windows, and plaster it before they move in. The missionaries live in a hut presently.

New Motorcycle To Ensure the Spread of The  Labour

We bought several motorcycles last year to expand the coverage area for our missionaries. The latest

Final Command Ministry funded motor bike

new bike is for Yohanna Musa, heading the Kamberi field, and for Moustapha Attani and Andrew Mararafa to strengthen our diaspora work, especially among the Fulanis and the Hausas. We are incredibly grateful to the Final Command Ministry in Nigeria for providing funds for the last motorcycle. We still need five motorcycles to meet the growing needs of the work. Pray for a miracle of funds to cover all the ministry's needs.

Orphans, Vulnerable, and Missionary Kids Ministry

God has been very gracious to us at the Home of Grace(HoG). Four of our children who sat for the

Some of the Home of Grace kids

Senior School Certificate achieved excellent results, and five were admitted to the university. Elizabeth Daji is currently studying Social Development at the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi. Peter Agwom is now studying Business Management; Sunday Moustapha is studying Sociology; Yakubu Omali and Timothy Dung are studying Economics, all at the University of Jos. Please join us to thank God for the admission and the miraculous provision to get them registered and started.

Several of them are teenagers, and the challenge of parenting despite growing up in the ministry environment is obvious. The younger one also needs keen attention. Please, pray along with us for wisdom, patience, and grace.

African Missions Summit (AMS 2026)

Our continental summit this year is focusing mainly on Advancing God's Kingdom. We are trusting God

to bring mission leaders from several nations, and it will serve as a platform to encourage weary missionaries and to network to strengthen each other's work. A special feature at this year's summit is the convergence of our elders from the various tribes/nations where we work to discuss how we can defy the prevailing security situation and continue the Great Commission, even if the missionaries have to relocate.

Several of the delegates, including our missionaries, will require sponsorship, especially the transportation cost, and some will require a flight ticket. Please pray with us for divine provision.

Prayer Needs/Appreciation

We are currently navigating unfamiliar terrain. We constantly receive reports of attacks, migration of our converts from one place to another, and targeting of our missionaries. Sometimes our missionaries cannot stay in their homes for fear of attacks. Police stations in some of the fields have closed down. Immigration and  Customs Officers have fled some of the locations where we work. We cannot close down our work at this level, yet we cannot overemphasize the need for prayers for courage. Hunger is prevalent in some fields because our converts cannot freely go to the farm. We have literally stopped holding large conferences and crusades in some locations.

Sometimes we literally weep when we look at pictures of places we have toiled in the past and compare them to what we have today. Some of our missionaries have courageously returned to what is left of their fields. In some cases, there are no fields left to return to. We have literally lost some of our colleagues from other organizations and are amazed at how God has spared our lives. This is not limited to Nigeria. We need help both for the converts and the missionaries. Above all, we need your prayer cover.

Thank you so much for standing by us. We pray for you always. God bless you.
