The month of August started with a donation of 100 blocks from one of the converts for the continuation of the building project of Tasha Durumi church. We trust the Lord for fund to get cement and engage the Bricklayer to take the work to the lintel level this quarter.
Averagely, the converts that worship at the Bum church are within the range of 100-105. The commitment of the converts is encouraging considering the fact that the rain/farming seasons, usually affect their turn out in the previous years. Fifteen of the new converts within the Bum church are already being prepared for water baptism. The converts will be baptized in September at the end of the baptismal class.
Our major challenge is Kadagi mission station where the stream at the entrance of the station has been over flooded with rain and is dangerous to cross at this season. Consequently, the discipleship class at Kadagi has been suspended. The Juga mission station is waking up with the posting of Joseph and Victoria Adah for a training of two months field trip from School of Cross-Cultural Missions. As at August, 2008, nine new persons joined the church, though they cannot be said to be born again yet.
