The months of April to June 2008 was marked out for visitation to our mission fields in the Western and Central African Countries. The visit was necessary so as to encourage the missionaries labouring on these fields and have first hand information on their latest challenges and accomplishments. The journey could not hold because of the bad state of our only car. It requires replacement of all the tyres and shock absorbers. We were able to replace the tyres with brand new ones but could not replace the shock absorbers.
We therefore accepted invitations from churches and mission groups to minister at various mission conferences during this period. First we served as guest speakers at Gboko Missions Conference organised by Missions House International and then at the CMML Church, Lokoja where we spoke on “Missions: The Supreme Priority”. The church was reawaken for world missions and we made new friends needed to push the work ahead.
We were also main speakers at the Abuja Solemn Assembly and Missions Conference where we spoke on “Birthing Convenant Nations”. God honoured His words and strengthen the participants as many made commitment to be more involved in world missions.
Next to the Abuja Conference was the Kurmin-Mashi Chapel’s Mission Summit. The theme was: “Arise and Shine”. We handled all the preaching sessions and spent time to pray and counselled those who responded to be involved in missionary work. The presence of God was mighty and we give Him all the glory.
We also had open door to the Foursquare Gospel Church, Minna where we were to teach at their School of Missions and speak at a crusade in a village where they plan to start missionary work. Unfortunately we could not make it because of some challenges especially ill health.
The trip accross our fields in West and Central Africa countries is still very necessary. Pray for fund to put the car in good shape and preferably a 4wheel drive that can cope with the stress of such international trips.
